Surfworld

Ireland's largest surf shop, in the heart of the surf capital.

Surfworld has been Bundoran's flagship surf retailer since 1990 β€” boards, wetsuits, and gear for every level, right where Ireland's surf scene began. As Surfshack Ireland's retail partner, guests staying near Donegal get fitted out before paddling out at The Peak or Tullan Strand.

Guest journey

Pre-surf gear: guests arriving without kit get sorted in one stop, steps from the breaks that built Irish surfing.

Irish Surfing (the Irish Surfing Association) is the umbrella body for surf clubs and accredited schools across the island, headquartered in Easkey, Co. Sligo. Partnering with Irish Surfing connects Surfshack guests to the wider community of surf clubs from Donegal to Cork β€” competitions, coaching standards, and local knowledge that no guidebook can match.

Guest journey

Community connection: guests get pointed toward the nearest ISA-affiliated club or accredited school for their region, building a relationship with local surfing beyond just the stay.

Water Safety Ireland

Ireland's national water safety charity β€” Surfshack's safety partner.

Water Safety Ireland (formerly Irish Water Safety) is the national charity educating the public on water safety around Ireland's coasts, lakes, and rivers β€” the closest Irish equivalent to a surf lifesaving body. Every Surfshack Ireland guest receives local safety briefing materials developed in line with Water Safety Ireland guidance, alongside RNLI lifeguard patrol times for beaches that have them.

Guest journey

Safety first: guests get accurate, current safety information for their specific beach before they paddle out β€” rip currents, tide times, and lifeguard coverage.

The Upcycle Movement

Old wetsuits, reborn β€” Irish neoprene upcycling.

The Upcycle Movement is an Irish design studio that collects worn-out neoprene wetsuits from surfers and surf schools around the country and remakes them into bags and accessories through their Neo Collection. Every Surfshack Ireland location runs a wetsuit collection point β€” guests can drop off old neoprene that would otherwise go to landfill.

Guest journey

Circular surfing: guests' own worn-out gear becomes part of the solution, collected on-site and given a second life rather than ending up in landfill.
